RIVER CRUISE TIPS #15: BOOK CLUB PICK FOR A SAIL THROUGH FRANCE

Do you know what’s awesome?

It’s having a friend who runs a book review blog. I can never say I don’t know what to read.

When I need ideas, I simply head over to Reading for Sanity and skim the latest book reviews.

My friend, Elizabeth, the administrator for Reading for Sanity graciously gave me a lengthy list of book suggestions to get any traveler pumped about a future river cruise.

I’ll be sharing these book titles in upcoming blog posts.

I love having smart friends, don’t you?

ON MY NIGHT STAND

France, 1916.

That was all I needed to buy The Girl You Left Behind by Jojo Moyes. You might know this author from her New York Times Bestseller Me Before You.

Historical fiction novels grab my attention every time. And, they are a great read for you, the river cruiser, because you’ll be steeped in history and culture during your cruise. It gets you right into the perfect travel mood.

I can already tell that the Girl You Left Behind is going to be a great book choice.

YOU SHOULD READ IT, TOO!

Say yes. You won’t be sorry.

I’m not too far into the book so we can still read it together. But, don’t wait too long. With this chillier weather, I feel a book binge coming on.

Have you read The Girl You Left Behind already? How was it? I would love to know your thoughts.

If you haven’t read it yet, grab a copy. We can share notes.
